Radka  Rubilina, PhD

I have occupied myself with LITERATURE and societies in CIS countries since 1997. I translate from Russian, Bulgarian and Ukrainian languages, I have published an anthology about GULAG (i.e. forced labor camps during the Stalin time) and also contributed  to Czech newspapers Hospodářské noviny, Respekt, Lidové noviny, Souvislosti. My poetry "Cheap Romance" was published in 2017, I am a member of the Association of Czech Writers. I am working as a director of the Czech Centre in Kyiv, Ukraine.

My interest in the phenomenon of labor camps have brought me to the problem of HUMAN RIGHTS in the world in general. I have worked as a human rights officer/adviser for different organizations: People in Need, OSCE in Armenia, EUMM to Georgia.  I am a member of the Czech Evaluation Society and focus on evaluations of development/human rights-oriented programmes.
